The special network structure of silica aerogels makes it possess good performances of small density, good thermal insulation, high porosity, large specific surface area, low sound transmission rate, etc. From the year of 1931, silica aerogels have been developed broaderly. In this paper, the preparation methods of silica aerogels with different raw materials have ben introduced, the drying technologies of silica aerogels discussed, the silica aerogel modification measures have been outlined, the applications of silica aerogels have been analysed. |
